About Us
The Love of Our Dogs, For Yours
We understand that to know dogs is to love them. Big Mac and Rosemary are our Chiweenies, AKA "The Poops." We adopted Big Mac from a local shelter, and he's our "himbo". He's athletic, adorable, and incredibly friendly with other dogs. Rosemary was also adopted and is a pandemic baby. Born into rescue just after Christmas in 2020, she's a tiny dog who tries to be just like her (slightly) bigger brother.
The way we love our dogs informs the way we love yours. We know that each pet has their own unique needs, which is why we put so much effort into developing a deep understanding of each pet we care for, and work around what their needs in each moment.
Owner & Founder: Charli Gross
For the Love of Dogs is a owned and operated by Charli Gross with the support of his partner, Celina Lua.
Charli has over 15 years of experience working with dogs in various capacities. He started his first pet-care business at 12 years old. Since then, he has been a dog groomer, managed multiple pet-care companies, and helped train and acclimate many dogs going into new homes. He has also had an extensive career in business and has a Master's Degree from USC.
Marketing & Design: Celina Lua
Celina is a lifelong dog lover, and long-time Charli-lover (they're engaged)! While Charli focuses on the administrative and management side of the business, Celina uses her artistic skills to focus on the creative side. Love the website? She designed it!
Pet Care Specialist: Haley Gilbert
Haley Gilbert is a long-time dog mom and lover. While most of her experience originates with animal kinship and ownership, she's learning to train dogs of varying temperaments. Haley is dedicated to supporting and fostering inclusive environments, making her a valuable asset with all clients and in any professional setting. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Cinema and Media Studies from USC and a B.A. in History from Williams College.
